FGT
THE FOUNDATION FOR GENETIC TECHNOLOGY
In 1992 the Board of Directors of the Association of CytogeneticTechnologists, Inc. (ACT), now known as AGT (Association of Genetic Technologists, Inc.) recognized the need for a foundation to better serve the educational needs of its membership.
PURPOSE The FOUNDATION FOR GENETIC TECHNOLOGY (FGT) was organized exclusively for scientific, literary and educational purposes. The exempt purpose of FGT is education. The funds and assets are used to promote education in genetic technology through improvement of public understanding regarding the nature of such technology and provision of professional opportunities for training through grants, scholarships and awards.
AWARDS & SCHOLARSHIPS
FGT offers the following awards and scholarships for AGT members and student members to honor leaders in our profession and help fund travel to the AGT Annual Meeting each year.
